Please download the latest version of mIRC at www.mirc.com
Install the program, an icon will be on your desk top
Connect to your ISP, then click the shortcut to mIRC
You will see this screen
Click the red X at the top right corner
This screen will then appear
Do NOT use your real name, use a nick
Do NOT use your real email address, make one up using hotmail
Type your nick and alternative nick
Be sure to click next to invisible mode, otherwise you will get porn spam.
Click the down arrow next to IRC Servers
Select Newnet from that list
In the next down arrow select "NewNet Random server"
Then click the "connect to IRC server" button
The mIRC channel folder will then show
Click the "add" button
Following the picture above add #ffm_uber_alles
Click the auto-join box
Click "ok"
Then click "join"
In order to have "op" privileges you will need to register your nick name
Nick names can be no longer than 9 characters.
type /msg register password (use your own password)
the password must be at least 5 characters long
you will need to use the syntax /msg identify password
to use your nick name on joining the server
To use an auto-command click file in the top tool bar
Click perform, then click "add" and select NewNet
ten type /msg nickserv identify password (the one you used to register your nick)
click ok, then you won't have to identify each time you log on
