I received these pictures of the R-M control tower being torn down by FAHS alumnus Rich Lawton '84

Rich who played football at Frankfurt High also played for R-M while in the Air Force for the R-M Rockets as did another Frankfurter running back Greg Booker I think of the same class I will have to ask them. They played for several championship teams in the late 80's early 90's for the Rockets that I was also a part as a coach. We have sort of an alumni group as well now as they track down former players and we had a reunion at Andrews AFB last Sept as a part of the USAFE Football reunion and we are having another gathering in August in San Antonio.

Sad to see that tower go down it played an important role in history Berlin Airlift and saw the Iran Hostages come home etc.
