Soccer photos were from
Spring of 76 when we played against Hanau when I was a Dormie another
story. Aksu Mehmek (?) is next to me in the celebration photo.
These two goals were the only ones I scored all season. We won 8-2.
Coach Haight was mad that we let them score even 1 goal. After all -
we were Frankfurt and this was Hanau. Several divisions lower and in
their first year of playing. Hanau HS opened in the fall of 75. |

In the Kick ass photo
Linebacker Jerry Smith is finishing off the Wiesbaden running back after he
was upturned by Don Hodson. Watching is #38 Willie Brunett and in the
#31 jersey on the sidelines is my best friend Paul Bossert and to his left
(right as you look at the photo) is Brian Zenk. Both were taking
photos of the game. I like this photo especially for three reasons: I
got a great shot, I got it from the tower on the other side of the field
while Paul and Brian were caught looking HA!. Had to make a major
blowup so that is why it is more than others a less than perfect photo.
All my negatives from back then have been lost. This scan is from an 8
x 10 I still have. |

Chalk Master photos are
when I was Manager for the fall 75 football team. Due to rain the
field was so muddy I and the other managers had to hand line the field.
This was Homecoming and the last game of the season so I decided, without
Coach Dracs knowledge or any one elses, much less permission, I used the
last of the field chalk to put the name Eagles in the end zone using the
light of the bonfire on Friday night. On Saturday I finished the Eagle
at mid-field just a few minutes before game time. I used a quarter to
help me make the design. Not exactly an eagle but it is a bird!
You can see the burn mark from the fire behind the endzone/goalpost. |

Cowboys team photo is
relevant to FHS as Joe Sajo (?) FHS 75 and Ricky Hauer FHS 75 were
assistants to the coaches for my team Ricky to the left and Joe to the
right. They both lived in Bad V like me. Ran into Ricky in 82
or 83 playing soccer in the Ft. Ord area. |
