girls & boys-
I had a layover in Frankfurt on Friday. so I did something that
I hadn't done in 21 years. I cruised my ass up to FAHS just to
see if Mr. Fontenot was still up there berating his students, or
if some of those swishy typing instructors were still there
prancing around.
I wasn't surprised to see that the school was no longer a DODDS
school. The changes I saw were pretty amazing. From Miguel Allee
you wouldn't notice much of a difference. but the front was
quite a bit different from when I went to school there.
the school is now a vocational school with, what I determined to
be, only about 20-30 students.
Gone is the smoking area where Volker spent most of his recess
time. It's now a large construction site. But the TrinkHalle
where Volker spent most Friday morning happy hours becoming
"enlightened" is still operating efficiently and has the
cheapest beer I found in the city. 1 euro 30 for a 1/2 liter of
Binding bier. A fantastic value.
peace,
matt
