Hey Guys, just got back in from helping my Dad build a deck over the long weekend. It seems the Hofbraeuhaus has opened an establishment in Newport, KY (walking distance over the purple-people mover footbridge to Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati). I'd say it's worth a road trip for the bier alone, which I gave an A+ despite being dumbed down to 6%. But don't go expecting echte Deutche cuisine. Despite the fact that this place is run by THE HBhaus, the food was disappointing and far from authentic.The food was rated no higher than a C by me, my Dad or my brother. Service was also less than expected, but they were way short staffed for the crowd they had.

They had a cool gift shop in the waiting area. Among the items was a coffee table type book documenting the considerable German influence in the Cincinnati area. Very cool, if you're ever in the area be sure to check it out.
